About Us
The ‘Off The Wall Theater Co.’ is the advanced student repertory acting company at Trabuco Hills High School. Prior to 2004 this group was known as the stage production class. The requirements for ‘Off The Wall’ are: Drama I and Drama II or the equivalent; a 2.5 or better GPA and an audition for admission. The ‘Off The Wall Company” is a full working theater repertory company performing 4 main stage plays and musicals a year. In addition there are touring shows and stage offerings in the smaller studio black box theater. The company supports itself largely through ticket sales and grants and donations.
The ‘Off The Wall Company’ prepares students for advanced theater work in college and universities. Students not working toward an advanced degree or career in entertainment are also well served by the discipline and academic work ethic required as a member of ‘Off The Wall’. The company has recently been recognized by the following: The Orange County Violence Prevention Coalition, The Orange County Human Relations Commission, The California State Legislature, The California State Senate and the United States Congress. William Mastrosimone’s ‘Bang, Bang, You’re Dead’
The widely recognized anti-violence piece ‘Bang, Bang, You’re Dead’ will be ready
for tour starting November 20, 2007. This show is primarily for intermediate and high school students.
An abridged (about 1 hour) version of Thornton Wilder’s classic ‘Our Town’ is available for booking starting Feb. 2008. ‘Our Town’ is a perfect theater piece for elder care facilities and would also be suitable for intermediate schools.
